Storyline
1941
Yank Shi was born in China, beginning a life that would later be shaped by curiosity, language, and creativity.
1960
He started his career teaching English in Yantai, China, developing a deep passion for language and education.
1982
Yank earned a master’s degree in Linguistics from Fudan University in Shanghai and continued his academic career at the Dalian Institute of Foreign Languages.
1986
Seeking new opportunities, he moved to the United States to expand his studies and experiences.
Late 1980s – Early 1990s
At the University of Colorado at Boulder, he earned master’s degrees in Linguistics and Fine Arts, combining his love for language with artistic expression.
1990s – 2010s
Yank entered the business world and successfully ran a semiconductor manufacturing company for over 20 years.
After Retirement
With more time to reflect and create, he devoted himself fully to writing and storytelling inspired by his life experiences.
Today
Yank Shi is the author of six books — My Three Human Lives, Interstellar Roaming, World’s End and the Sea Angle, The Kingdom of Wisdom, Boundless Love, and Eternal Love — sharing stories that explore memory, imagination, and the mysteries of the universe.
